The Liu Shiming Artist Grants 2026 support early-career visual artists whose work engages with the relationship between cultural or historical traditions and contemporary artistic practice. Up to five artists will each receive a USD 5,000 grant to develop or complete a new or ongoing project. Applicants must have been practising professionally for 2–10 years and demonstrate a sustained commitment to their artistic practice. The grant is open to visual artists working across all media, with applications assessed by a jury of curators, artists, and arts professionals.
